WTM World Responsible Tourism Day
Over the past 13 years, World Travel Market has dedicated one day to responsible tourism through a programme encouraging debate, discussion and action, highlighting case studies and best practice and participation by all sectors of the industry.
Responsible tourism is not a passing trend. As more and more governments, businesses, organisations – and consumers – recognise the importance of responsible tourism, the subject has risen to the very top of the agenda.
WTM has teamed up with the World Tourism Organization, to offer an important new and unique initiative in global travel and tourism – World Responsible Tourism Day.
To coincide with Responsible Tourism Day at World Travel Market, WTM is asking companies and organisations in the industry to show its support by undertaking their own responsible tourism initiatives.
A Support Pack has been produced to explain about this major global initiative and to provide suggestions and ideas to inspire you and your colleagues to participate.
