Last night Stella McCartney kicked off the Bavarian Oktoberfest season with a party at the St. Emmeramsmühle beer garden in Munich.

The pre-Oktoberfest party was co-hosted with mytheresa.com founders Susanne and Christoph Botschen and Joshua Schulman, President of Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus Group International. The Neiman Marcus Group has recently acquired mytheresa.com and the Munich based THERESA store.

In the true spirit of the 181 year old folk festival, the beer garden was decorated with Oktoberfest games including a traditional carousel and the strongman game “Hau Den Lukas”, an Oktoberfest staple. Models dressed in pieces from the Spring 2015 collection mingled with the guests. The Happy Bavarians performed traditional songs and dances, in vegan lederhosen.

Guests were treated to a beautifully executed vegetarian twist on Bavarian fare, which included Vegetarian hot dogs, Pretzels, Chicoree leaves with traditional Bavarian Liptauer and Obzada. Guest drank Hugo’s (a traditional German summer Drink), Taittinger Champagne and Spaten Beer.

THE STELLA MCCARTNEY STELLA MCCARTNEY SPRING 2015 COLLECTION

Free spirited and eclectic; energy and movement captures this season with playful nostalgia.

Safari tailoring with keyhole cut-outs is softly constructed in crest motif jacquard or triple weave summer tweed. Swallow bird applique adorns shirts and slouchy bomber jackets.

Effortless and feminine silhouettes; a weightless silk fil coupe dress gathered into ruffles.

Playful; a Stellasuperheroes motif is printed onto light silk crepe de chine and woven into a jacquard. The print is layered in an ultra-light weight parka over a fluid silk trouser and shirt look. In a stitchwork embroidery, the print is stamped across a calico duchess tunic and pant.

Bold and vibrant; rugby stripes in a combination of calypso green and black or persimmon and ultramarine are cut into a fluid dress with a voluminous asymmetric hem. An opaque viscose knit cap sleeved t-shirt is complete with a blossom print wrap skirt.

Energetic; prints are patch worked in contrast color ways. A strapless full length drop-waist dress trimmed with sporty elastic waist is teamed with a varsity cardigan knit.

Cuts are considered in a zip front jacket paired with trousers in printed crepe de chine.

Free spirited; evening dresses combine cutaway ric-rac threadwork embroidery with fluid pleated volumes in a diverse mix of blossom and paisley prints.
Accessories create a playful statement. Bags feature the Stellasuperheroes print in a patchwork of fabrics; a tote, crossbody and clutch.

The signature Falabella bag is decorated with colorful stone embroidery, while the Cavendish style includes a top framed bag with chain strap in alter suede leopard and alter snakeskin.

Shoes are confident; making a carefree statement and offered in an expanded range. Layered platform slides with striped elastic continue on the nod to sport. Platforms with a peep toe heel add weight in contrast to the lightness
